Sukkot 2020
(Feast of Tabernacles)

Shalom everyone. I'm so excited about this upcoming Sukkot! Praise Yah for his goodness by blessing us with His Holy Days where we can get together with the sons and daughters of the kingdom. When else can you take eight days away from the world and spend them with the people of Elohim? There will be Bible studies, presentations, feasting, games, and tons of fellowship. This feast is such a joy, I pray everyone reading this can set aside the time required to come out and rejoice with us.

    Rules & Guidelines:

The rules below are simply common sense guidelines to help everyone enjoy the feast without distractions and problems.

We haven't had any major problems in the past, and we just want to keep it that way. Please indicate your agreement by clicking the "We agree" checkbox. If you have any questions about them, feel free to contact me.

    * Attendees should firmly believe in the inspiration of scripture (Genesis to Revelation), and believe the Sabbath day is on the 7th day of the week, commonly called 'saturday'.
However, if you normally attend a congregation on the 1st day of the week, commonly called 'sunday', you are welcome to join us and learn about the blessing of Sukkot, without judgment. (Lunar Sabbath keepers welcome as well)

    * There is a Dress Code requiring modest apparel for both men and women. Please do not bring see-through clothing, clothes which draw attention to, or reveal the shape of, the private parts of the body such as low necklines and tight fitting garments. Please make sure you read and understand the full dress code rules here. Please do not be offended if you are asked to cover up. Thanks for your understanding; we want those who have weaknesses to enjoy the feast without having to constantly engage in spiritual battle.

    * Pets are permitted as long as they are leashed and supervised at all times, and are not a disturbance to others. If they are a disturbance, you will be asked to house them in a kennel or leave the campground.

    * Alcohol is permitted, drunkenness is not. We ask that you drink responsibly and in moderation. Smoking is not allowed in our camping area, we ask that you go to a private location away from the children.

    * Parents are held accountable for their children and teens. Children in the play areas and elsewhere should be supervised.

    * Quiet time is enforced from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am local time. If you bring a dog, you will be held responsible for any barking that occurs.

    * In the interest of purity, males and females who are not in a consummated marriage should refrain from physical affection, and from going together to private locations, away from public view.

    * We observe the laws of clean and unclean food (Leviticus 11). Please make sure any food you bring to a pot luck is in compliance with our creator's instructions on what is considered clean food. Fruits and vegetables are always a great idea, pork and shellfish are not. Unfortunately unclean foods can be hidden in many commercially made items such as: bread, pastries, soups, wine, beer,
marshmallows, cakes, and other deserts. If in doubt, look for products with a kosher symbol.

What is Sukkot?

Chag HaSukkot is commonly translated as Feast of Tabernacles or Feast of Booths and is a seven day feast with an additional eighth day called Shemini Atzeret (eighth assembly) at the end of the feast. Sukkot is one of the three pilgrimage feasts of YHVH (the LORD) found in Deuteronomy 16 where all the males were required to go to the temple in Yerushalayim (Jerusalem) with an offering for the most high. The main feature of the feast is that we are commanded to make for ourselves temporary dwellings out of the vegetation of the land, also called a Sukkah, and dwell in them for seven days. The first day and the eighth day of the feast are Shabbaton (Holy Days) which are treated as a Shabbat with the exception that cooking is allowed. This festival is celebrated during the 7th biblical month from the 15th day to the 21st day.

In the diaspora, with the temple destroyed, we are celebrating and practicing this feast in honor of the commanded gathering of YHVH with the anticipation of celebrating it with our Messiah Yeshua at Yerushalayim in the new kingdom from heaven to come.

Scriptures about Sukkot:

Leviticus 23:34-36
Speak to the children of Yisrael, saying, ‘On the fifteenth day of this seventh new moon is the Festival of Sukkot for seven days to YHVH. ‘On the first day is a set-apart gathering, you do no servile work. ‘For seven days you bring an offering made by fire to YHVH. On the eighth day there shall be a set-apart gathering for you, and you shall bring an offering made by fire to YHVH. It is a closing festival, you do no servile work.

Leviticus 23:39-44
‘On the fifteenth day of the seventh new moon, when you gather in the fruit of the land, celebrate the festival of YHVH for seven days. On the first day is a rest, and on the eighth day a rest. ‘And you shall take for yourselves on the first day the fruit of good trees, branches of palm trees, twigs of leafy trees, and willows of the stream, and shall rejoice before YHVH your Elohim for seven days. ‘And you shall celebrate it as a festival to YHVH for seven days in the year – a law forever in your generations. Celebrate it in the seventh new moon. ‘Dwell in booths for seven days; all who are native born in Yisrael dwell in booths, so that your generations know that I made the children of Yisrael dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Mitsrayim. I am YHVH your Elohim.’ ” Thus did Mosheh speak of the appointed times of YHVH to the children of Yisrael.

Deuteronomy 16:13-17
Perform the Festival of Sukkot for seven days after the ingathering from your threshing-floor and from your winepress, and you shall rejoice in your festival, you and your son and your daughter, and your male servant and your female servant, and the Levite, and the stranger and the fatherless and the widow who are within your gates. “For seven days you shall celebrate to YHVH your Elohim in the place which YHVH chooses, because YHVH your Elohim does bless you in all your increase and in all the work of your hands, and you shall be only rejoicing! Three times a year all your males appear before YHVH your Elohim in the place which He chooses: at the Festival of Matzot (Unleavened Bread), and at the Festival of Shavuot (Weeks), and at the Festival of Sukkot (Booths). And none should appear before YHVH empty-handed, but each one with the gift of his hand, according to the blessing of YHVH your Elohim which He has given you.

Nehemiah 8:14-18
And they found written in the Torah, which YHVH had commanded by Mosheh, that the children of Yisrael should dwell in booths in the festival of the seventh new moon, and that they should announce and proclaim in all their cities and in Yerushalayim, saying, “Go out to the mountain, and bring olive branches, branches of oil trees, and myrtle branches, and palm branches, and branches of leafy trees, to make booths, as it is written.” So the people went out and brought them and made themselves booths, each one on the roof of his house, and in their courtyards and in the courtyards of the House of Elohim, and in the open space of the Water Gate and in the open space of the Gate of Ephrayim. And the entire assembly of those who had come back from the captivity made booths and sat under the booths, for since the days of Yeshua son of Nun until that day the children of Yisrael had not done so. And there was very great rejoicing. And day by day, from the first day until the last day, he read from the Book of the Torah of Elohim. And they performed the festival seven days. And on the eighth day there was an assembly, according to the right-ruling.

Zechariah 14:16-19 (End times prophecy)
And it shall be that all who are left from all the nations which came up against Yerushalayim, shall go up from year to year to bow themselves to the Sovereign, YHVH of hosts, and to celebrate the Festival of Sukkot. And it shall be, that if anyone of the clans of the earth does not come up to Yerushalayim to bow himself to the Sovereign, YHVH of hosts, on them there is to be no rain. And if the clan of Mitsrayim does not come up and enter in, then there is no rain. On them is the plague with which YHVH plagues the nations who do not come up to celebrate the Festival of Sukkot. This is the punishment of Mitsrayim and the punishment of all the nations that do not come up to celebrate the Festival of Sukkot.

Wow! I didn't think we could top last year, but this year was even better! Praise Yah for his continued guidance and protection over our ministry.  Thank you to everyone who was able to come out and camp with us and thank you to all the visitors. We didn't always stay on schedule but we accomplished most of what we set out to do and we have some lessons learned that we can incorporate into next year. I can't wait already! It is hard to go back to the world after being with the brothers and sisters for so long. Below are some pictures and hopefully I can get a video put together in the next few weeks. All  praise to the most high Elohim!
