    Rules & Guidelines:

The rules below are simply common-sense guidelines to help everyone enjoy the feast without distractions and problems.

We haven't had any major problems in the past, and we just want to keep it that way. Please indicate your agreement by clicking the "We agree" checkbox. If you have any questions about them, feel free to contact us.

*Attendees should firmly believe in the inspiration of scripture (Genesis to Revelation), and believe the Sabbath day is on the 7th day of the week, commonly called Saturday. However, if you normally attend a congregation on Sunday or any other day, you are welcome to join us and learn about the blessing of Sukkot, without judgment.

*We observe the laws of clean and unclean food (Leviticus 11). Please make sure any food you bring to a potluck follows our creator's instructions on what is considered clean food. Fruits and vegetables are always a great idea, pork and shellfish are not. Unfortunately, unclean foods can be hidden in many commercially made items such as: bread, pastries, soups, marshmallows, cheese, cakes, and other desserts. If in doubt, look for products with a kosher symbol.

*There is a dress code requiring modest apparel for both men and women. Please do not bring see-through clothing, clothes which draw attention to, or reveal the shape of, the private parts of the body such as low necklines and tight-fitting garments. Please do not be offended if you are asked to cover up. Thanks for your understanding; we want those who have weaknesses to enjoy the feast without having to constantly engage in spiritual battle.

*In the interest of purity, males and females who aren’t in a consummated marriage should refrain from physical affection, and are expected to conduct themselves in a way appropriate for this group setting.

*Camp policy on pets: Pets must be on a leash at all times, even in your designated space.  Do not leave pets unattended at any time.  Pets are not allowed in the common area (laundry, pool, restrooms, etc.), nor are they allowed in the lake at any time. No aggressive breeds (such as, but not limited to Dobermans, Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, Boxers and English mastiffs), allowed. Please speak to the manager to make sure that your pet is welcome.

*No non-prescription drugs are allowed, including recreational marijuana. No alcohol consumption is allowed on the campgrounds.

*Parents will be held accountable for their children and teens. Supervise them as necessary.

*Pick up your trash and make your children pick up theirs. Clean daily and leave the campground better than it was when you leave.

*Campground quiet hours are from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m.

*Let us be a good witness to this park and be beyond reproach.

*Other camp policies can be found here.

What is Sukkot?

Ḥag HaSukkot is commonly translated as Feast of Tabernacles or Feast of Booths and is a seven day feast with an additional eighth day called Shemini Atzeret (Eighth Assembly) at the end of the feast. Sukkot is one of the three pilgrimage feasts of YHVH (the LORD) found in Deuteronomy 16 where all the males were required to go to the temple in Yerushalayim (Jerusalem) with an offering for the Most High Elohim (God). The main feature of the feast is that we are commanded to make for ourselves temporary dwellings out of the vegetation of the land, also called a Sukkah, and dwell in them for seven days. The first day and the eighth day of the feast are Shabbaton (Holy Days) which are treated as a Shabbat with the exception that cooking is allowed. This festival is celebrated during the 7th biblical month from the 15th day to the 21st day of the month usually occurring in September or October.

In the diaspora, with the temple destroyed, we are celebrating and practicing this feast in honor of the commanded gathering of YHVH with the anticipation of celebrating it with our Messiah Yeshua at Yerushalayim in the new kingdom from heaven to come.

Scriptures about Sukkot:

Leviticus 23:34-36
Speak to the children of Yisrael, saying, ‘On the fifteenth day of this seventh new moon is the Festival of Sukkot for seven days to YHVH. ‘On the first day is a set-apart gathering, you do no servile work. ‘For seven days you bring an offering made by fire to YHVH. On the eighth day there shall be a set-apart gathering for you, and you shall bring an offering made by fire to YHVH. It is a closing festival, you do no servile work.

Leviticus 23:39-44
‘On the fifteenth day of the seventh new moon, when you gather in the fruit of the land, celebrate the festival of YHVH for seven days. On the first day is a rest, and on the eighth day a rest. ‘And you shall take for yourselves on the first day the fruit of good trees, branches of palm trees, twigs of leafy trees, and willows of the stream, and shall rejoice before YHVH your Elohim for seven days. ‘And you shall celebrate it as a festival to YHVH for seven days in the year – a law forever in your generations. Celebrate it in the seventh new moon. ‘Dwell in booths for seven days; all who are native born in Yisrael dwell in booths, so that your generations know that I made the children of Yisrael dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Mitsrayim. I am YHVH your Elohim.’ ” Thus did Mosheh speak of the appointed times of YHVH to the children of Yisrael.

Deuteronomy 16:13-17
Perform the Festival of Sukkot for seven days after the ingathering from your threshing-floor and from your winepress, and you shall rejoice in your festival, you and your son and your daughter, and your male servant and your female servant, and the Levite, and the stranger and the fatherless and the widow who are within your gates. “For seven days you shall celebrate to YHVH your Elohim in the place which YHVH chooses, because YHVH your Elohim does bless you in all your increase and in all the work of your hands, and you shall be only rejoicing! Three times a year all your males appear before YHVH your Elohim in the place which He chooses: at the Festival of Matzot (Unleavened Bread), and at the Festival of Shavuot (Weeks), and at the Festival of Sukkot (Booths). And none should appear before YHVH empty-handed, but each one with the gift of his hand, according to the blessing of YHVH your Elohim which He has given you.

Nehemiah 8:14-18
And they found written in the Torah, which YHVH had commanded by Mosheh, that the children of Yisrael should dwell in booths in the festival of the seventh new moon, and that they should announce and proclaim in all their cities and in Yerushalayim, saying, “Go out to the mountain, and bring olive branches, branches of oil trees, and myrtle branches, and palm branches, and branches of leafy trees, to make booths, as it is written.” So the people went out and brought them and made themselves booths, each one on the roof of his house, and in their courtyards and in the courtyards of the House of Elohim, and in the open space of the Water Gate and in the open space of the Gate of Ephrayim. And the entire assembly of those who had come back from the captivity made booths and sat under the booths, for since the days of Yeshua son of Nun until that day the children of Yisrael had not done so. And there was very great rejoicing. And day by day, from the first day until the last day, he read from the Book of the Torah of Elohim. And they performed the festival seven days. And on the eighth day there was an assembly, according to the right-ruling.

Zechariah 14:16-19 (End times prophecy)
And it shall be that all who are left from all the nations which came up against Yerushalayim, shall go up from year to year to bow themselves to the Sovereign, YHVH of hosts, and to celebrate the Festival of Sukkot. And it shall be, that if anyone of the clans of the earth does not come up to Yerushalayim to bow himself to the Sovereign, YHVH of hosts, on them there is to be no rain. And if the clan of Mitsrayim does not come up and enter in, then there is no rain. On them is the plague with which YHVH plagues the nations who do not come up to celebrate the Festival of Sukkot. This is the punishment of Mitsrayim and the punishment of all the nations that do not come up to celebrate the Festival of Sukkot.

Sukkot 2021 Oceanside Recap

Thank you everyone who was able to attend this year. Being able to gather in Yah's name with the Brothers and Sisters is amazing. Praise our heavenly Father for the revelations and provision He gives. What a blessing it is to be called to His glorious kingdom. This year we read through then entire Torah for the sh'mita year, thank you to all our readers and listeners who helped carry out that commandment. That was not an easy undertaking, but what a blessing it was to hear so much of Elohim's word in one event.
